Bridgnorth were the proud owners of the ‘Great British High Street Award’ for Best Large Market Town in 2016. It is easy to see why. There is such a wide range of chain and independent shops, we have a great choice on our high street.
Here at This, that & the other we support the Buy Local Campaign, which is an idea from all the shop owners, that people shop within their local towns, and support small businesses. This has been a huge success over the last 2 years.
Bridgnorth attracts 1000’s of visitors to the town every year. They have a great opportunity to visit the Severn Valley Railway, a fantastic example of a steam railway.
The funicular railway (connecting high and low town).
The beautiful River Severn, where you can do spot of fishing, or you can sit and watch the world go by, with a beverage (or two) at one of the riverside pubs…..!
During August, Bridgnorth host a large music festival. This creates a fantastic atmosphere in the town.
We have many historic buildings, including the Castle, which leans at a greater angle than the leaning tower of Pisa! We also have Bishop Percy’s House here, built in 1580. Rumoured to of been a defensive tower in the Medieval times. This is due to be back open to the public as tea room within the next 12 months.
We have markets on Fridays and Saturdays in the High part of the town, and It is worth mentioning that we are a very dog friendly town, and indeed a dog friendly shop
A love of finding pieces for the home, garden and gifts turned into a business. In 2014 this, that & the other started in Bank Street, Bridgnorth. In October 2015 we expanded into a larger secondary shop, 4 Waterloo Terrace, Bridgnorth.
